This photograph won in North American Wildlife Photography Association contest.This image was published in US magazines.Bobcat litters of range in size from 1 to 6 kittens, weighing 10-12 ounces at birth. The Kittens are weaned at 12 weeks of age and independent of their mother at 10-12 months. They are tawny to gray with indistinct black spotting. They have a cheek ruff and a short stubby tail. Only the mother takes care of them. As they grow, she will bring live animals (like mice) back to the den, so the kittens can practice hunting. When the kittens are two to three months old, they do not need milk anymore and can eat adult food. Bobcats are carnivorous and eat meat. They have sharp retractable claws and keep them inside their toes, so when they leave a footprint, the claws do not show.
