Description
A beautiful fall day at Slide lake in Wyoming. All the foliage in its peak colors fill the scenic view. The mountain tops with fresh dusting of snow among the cloud dramatic skies. Lower Slide Lakes are located in the Bridger-Teton National Forest just northeast of Jackson Hole. Formed by a massive landslide in 1925.The Gros Ventre Slide is a large geological scar marking the side of Sheep Mountain, seven miles east of Jackson Hole Valley. This impressive area has some truly unique geological features and a collage of colorful rocks vastly different from the granite of the Tetons. The slide path and debris is worth a visit just to see alone.
